Following the steps of a successful predecessor in the Air Max 95, Nike was once again looking to innovate sneakers a step farther with the Air Max 97. Originally designed by Christian Tresser the Air Max 97 was a first of its kind when Nike upgraded with Air Sole unit to run the full length of the shoe. Making a return in 2017 to honor the sneakers 20th anniversary, featuring its OG colorway with detailing from bold hits of neon and 3M accents throughout the black and metallic silver upper.
