There's certainly no shortage of original, Bulls-themed colorways in Jordan Brand's retro lineup, but that's never stopped them from bringing new black-white-and-red propositions into the fold. Case in point, the sportswear powerhouse is gearing up to release a new flavor of the Air Jordan 12 later this month, and it would've fit right in alongside the silhouette's OG launch colors.
The forthcoming Air Jordan 12 “Twist” takes everything you love about the classic “Cherry” scheme from 1997 and gives it a modern, bass-boosted remix. Uppers come covered in luxe tumbled leather, which bears a stark white tone. That same hue makes its way onto the faux lizard-skin mudguards, leather tongues, and laces. In contrast, the sockliners, heel tabs, and embroidered Jordan embellishments on the tongues take on a jet-black complexion.
As the nickname suggests, there is a twist to the proposition, and it comes in the form of shiny “University Red” accents. The Bulls-reminiscent hue appears on the sneaker's uppermost eyelets and side-panel overlays. Finishing touches include foam midsole units and rubber outsoles done in white.
The Air Jordan 12 “Twist” is slated to release July 24th on JimmyJazz.com in full-family sizing.
