The Air Jordan 13 “Starfish” has finally been revealed for the first time, after a series of mock-up designs we were teased with earlier in the year. Originally set to drop for Winter 2020, and now rescheduled for a January 2021 release, the colorway essentially continues to be a model favored by Nike. Following the “Lucky Green” and “Gym Red” colorways, this Spring launch is set to be another addition to a unique family.
These shoes were made for Jordan athlete Quentin Richardson, whose short stint with the Phoenix Suns allowed for this vibrant colorway to be brought to life. On the Suns, Richardson was a fan favorite averaging 15 points, two assists, and snagging five rebounds. These PEs are one of the freshest in the Jordan Brand catalogue.
The Air Jordan 13 “Starfish” resembles colors from the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” featuring “White” uppers and a “Starfish Orange” overlay. Its colorblocking scheme follows a simple, two-toned treatment that leads with the titular shade. The sneaker is dressed with a “Starfish Orange,” hued leather uppers, which accent both the mudguard and the heel, accompanied by “White” tumbled leathers. These overlay the traditional arrangement of indents and texture along both the medial and lateral sections of the shoe, contrasted with the toebox, for which the crinkles are tamer. Atop the lining are “Black” neutrals, while the signature emblem is on the heel. The midsole consists of “White” and “Starfish Orange” finishes off the pattern, while a black outsole completes the design.
The Air Jordan 13 “Starfish” are set to drop on January 16th on the JimmyJazz App and at select retail stores for $190. Don't miss out on these exclusive drops; they’re sure to boost up your style.
