Autumn began mere weeks ago, but it appears Jordan Brand already has its sights set on the snowy season that follows. Their latest proposition, a self-proclaimed “Winterized” take on the Air Jordan 14, is set to land later this month, and promises to be a welcome alternative to any lightweight snow boot.
This weatherproof iteration of Michael Jordan's 14th signature model is constructed from a vacuum-sealed, molded suede upper, which is done in an earthy “Archaeo Brown” tone. From there, rubberized, motorsport-inspired Jumpman badges are applied to the lateral side panels in black and bright red. That same cherry hue also arrives on the sneaker's laces, tongue tops, and rubberized heel-panels as Jumpman and “23” insignias. Miniature Jumpman logos appear on the toeboxes in black, as well.
The upper sits atop cream and dark brown–colored foam midsoles, which spill onto the forefoot in classic Air Jordan 14 fashion. Black carbon-fiber shank plates are housed within the midsole units for stability, and the colorway is finished with similarly-colored rubber outsoles.
The Air Jordan 14 “Winterized” is expected to arrive to JimmyJazz.com and Jimmy Jazz stores October 16th for a retail price of $210.
