As the sneakerscape continues to grow, so too does the public's desire to acquire extremely limited kicks. Last year, Jordan Brand began introducing PE-inspired releases to the market to account for this increasing demand.
The formula proved successful. In taking those hyper-rare sneakers that are gifted to college athletes and stripping them of their school spirit, it gave consumers a broader, more available alternative. So far we've seen the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 5, and Air Jordan 12 get dressed in PE-inspired attire, and rumor has it, an Air Jordan 6 isn't far behind.
Set to land in early June, the forthcoming Air Jordan 6 “Electric Green” bears striking resemblance to the fabled “Oregon Ducks” Air Jordan 6 PE from 2018 (sans the University of Oregon insignias). The sneaker takes on a black nubuck construction, which graces the upper in near entirety. Eye-scorching “Electric Green” accents add contrast via embroidered Jumpman logos on the neoprene lace shrouds, lace locks, and heel tab piping.
Like the “Oregon Ducks” PE, foam midsole units bear a stark black paintjob with vibrant hits of the titular tone on the forefoot and heel sides. A ghostly, semi-translucent, glow-in-the-dark rubber outsole finishes the job.
The Air Jordan 6 “Electric Green” will be available June 5th on JimmyJazz.com in full-family sizing.
