Originally released in 1992, Tinker Hatfield engineered the Nike Air Raid. Two criss-crossing braces, a heavy-duty lateral bumper, a flat sole and the term “For Outdoor Use Only” found on the back heel and bottom of the outsole are designed for outdoor basketball. In 2003, they were retro-released for the first time and have been re-released many times since then.
