It’s jackpot season for sneakerheads! With the recent release of the Lost and Found 1s, Nike & Jordan are back to finish the year strong with the Cherry Red 11s.
The countdown may have had you biting your nails down to the nub in anticipation, but don’t worry, we’ve got a new set for you to tell your nail technician about. Leading up to this delicious drop, our Instagram page actively spread the word creatively. From custom SNIPES nails, rugs, and cherry pies, we kept the anticipation high for this explosive cherry bomb release.
As a new colorway comes to one of our favorite retro styles, this version of MJ’s legendary shoe came dressed in a white mesh base with tonal leather accents. You’ll also find more hints of white on the midsole, laces, and mesh tongue. Contrasted by Varsity Red highlights that take on the high-cut patent leather overlay and Jumpman branding on the ankle, lining, and insoles. Lastly, as the cherry on top, the icy translucent outsole finishes off this stylish pair perfectly.
Just like Mike when he came back, the 11’s are here with two words:
“I’m Back.”
When Michael Jordan came out of his first retirement halfway through the 1995/1996 season, he was initially wearing Air Jordan 10s for most of the season. Until he was presented with the final design for the Air Jordan 11s… With luxury and high fashion inspiring this silhouette, Tinker Hatfield delivered a legacy. The kicks had an immediate impact, not only on the court but also beyond it. The timeless design of these shoes looked just as good with a suit or tuxedo as they did on the basketball court. It proved to be a great inspiration for Michael as it accompanied him throughout one of history’s greatest seasons; a 72 – 10 record by the Chicago Bulls in 1995/1996.
