On November 17th, 1984, Michael stepped onto Chicago Stadiums’ court to face Dr. J and the 76ers for the 11th game of the regular season. Even though Michael didn’t have his greatest performance, something else garnered everyone’s attention. Laced all the way up in a high-top red and white leather sneaker that stars a prominent black Nike Swoosh, the Air Jordan 1 debuts for the very first time.

Designed by Peter Moore, stamped and sealed with a finalized Wings Logo, and priced at $65, the iconic sneaker hits the shelves April 1st, 1985, causing swarms of fans to crowd stores just to get their hands on the one that started it all.

Reminiscent of the first “Chicago” colorway, these “Lost and Founds” have a couple new features that combine classic and current for an all-out concrete crushing finish. With an off-white Sail foundation sprinkled with Varsity Red accents and just as popular as they were back then, these iconic sneakers were found deep in the depths of Nike’s warehouse and are back in action for a limited time.
