The purpose of the court is to be utilized for conflict resolution, team building, and other recreational activities. The Circle Of Brotherhood’s mission is to give a space to black men who want to help their communities through problem-solving and finding ways to improve the community for better living. Their primary focus is on youth development, crime prevention, and economic sustainability. Not only is this basketball court being built at a place of community gathering, but it is built in one of the poorest, and arguably the most blighted neighborhoods in Miami Florida. This court gives members of the community a safe space to go, grow, and transform on top of connecting them to numerous resources.
