Philly! The skate community really came out and showed major love for the city! The SNIPES Trick or Treat Skate Pop-Up was a huge success as the turn out brought together a crowd of people who showed their appreciation for the culture. Not only did local Philly residents come through, but we also had skaters from New York and New Jersey show out and participate in the festivities. The line to get in was packed and people did not hold back in their excitement once their wheels touched the floor.
With this skate pop-up, we were able to renovate a small space in a warehouse to mimic life before the pandemic. No large half-pipes or other major sponsors, it was just us giving back to a community that has supported us through it all. From small prizes to the main trick contest, the event brought the city out and the skate community didn’t disappoint. Quadie and Matt Ox blessed the microphone and Supreme Skater Na’kel Smith showed love for their crafts. This small gathering is the first of many and soon we will be able to help bring more skaters out to live events!
