Whether you’ve owned a pair yourself or seen a pair on feet, the Nike Dunk has become one of the brand’s staple silhouettes since its first debut in 1985. Although originally intended as a college basketball sneaker, the Dunk would eventually grow out of its focus for just players and collegiate fans and into the homes of many different subcultures. From fashion to skateboarding (Nike SB), the love for the Dunk took on a life of its own and would soon cement itself into being the cultural icon it is today. As a natural evolution from the Air Force 1, this silhouette showed that Nike was able to dominate different worlds beyond the hardwood.
With 2020 being the 35th anniversary of the Nike Dunk, Nike and SNIPES come together for the Dunk DNA Collection that will showcase the most iconic colorways and collaborations that have dropped over the years. This museum will be featured in our brand-new Eastern Parkway store located in Brooklyn, NY and will be showcased for a limited time. Once you enter the store you will be able to see classic pairs like the Be True DNA Dunk “Kentucky” and Concepts Lobster Dunk SB as well as read some background history of all the shoes.
