SNIPES launched the We All Eat initiative back in October of 2022, delivering fresh produce to over 24 Chicago neighborhoods. This initiative was founded on the mission to tackle the problem of food insecurity and nutrition scarcity within the communities we serve. Nearly 1 in 4 adults who were parents or guardians of children under 19 in their residence reported their household was experiencing food insecurity. Youth in black, brown, and Hispanic communities are more than twice as likely to be subjected to hunger than the national average.
For the SNIPES 2023 We All Eat campaign, SNIPES partnered with the Hello Fresh meal service, Factor, Hello Fresh is one of the largest meal-kit providers in the United States. Factor delivers premium chef-prepared meals that are considered health-conscious for nourishment. Through this program, SNIPES will serve and support local grass-rooted organizations that work continuously to combat challenges in resources, nutrition, and accessibility by providing 198 weekly meals and logistical needs to all.
With the help of city-based partners, SNIPES was able to serve the cities of Atlanta, Baltimore, Baton Rouge, Philadelphia, Boston, and Detroit. Our partners included: Choices Kitchen, Joy Youth, Greater Food Bank of Baton Rouge, Prevention Point, Sociedad Latinos, and Good Samiritas. Thanks to the support from these partnerships, we were able to serve more than 4,000 meals in November.
