If you searched Jimmy Jazz this morning and were redirected to the SNIPES website you may be wondering where Jimmy Jazz went. Well, Jimmy Jazz is officially part of the SNIPES family and we couldn’t be more excited about what this acquisition has to offer. About a year ago we announced that we were joining forces with Jimmy Jazz, and this past year has been a whirlwind full of store closings and store openings, events, and merging the two to offer our customers access to even more brands. Brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Asics, Kappa, Hunter, Decibel, FILA, and others are now available on our SNIPES website.
Jimmy Jazz opened its first store over 25 years ago in New York City. Founder and CEO, James Khezrie, noticed an increasing demand for menswear in the city, and as a Brooklyn-born native, he used his entrepreneurial spirit as fuel to open the first Jimmy Jazz on Delancy Street in Manhattan. The acquisition marked SNIPES largest to date and allowed us to triple our door count in the country bringing us to over 300 stores across the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.
Something that bonds SNIPES and Jimmy Jazz to make this the perfect pairing is the fact that Jimmy Jazz has been a pioneer for empowerment, equitable employment, and activations that inspire underserved youth. SNIPES was founded in 1998 in Germany and came to the US in 2019 with the mission to support, empower, and celebrate local communities. The desire to intensify our community impact is one that both retailers look forward to collaborating on moving forward. Our site has been newly updated with all things Jimmy Jazz, take a look for yourself: SNIPES.
