Ready for a JAM-packed season? SNIPES is excited to introduce the latest innovation from Nike: the Nike JAM—a fresh new style in footwear designed for breakers! And just in time for the Olympics! B-boys and b-girls are all set to throw down and leave their mark on August 9th at the global arena, where Breaking will debut as an official sport.
THE JAM
After six years of relentless innovation at Nike’s Sport Research Lab and input from breakers at every level, Nike has introduced the first shoe specifically designed for the breaking community. Engineered to excel on both smooth competition floors and gritty city streets, the Nike Jam features a foam drop-in midsole for superior cushioning and a rubber cup sole for the perfect ground feel. Built for every move – this shoe is suited for anything from regular practice to crucial battles.
As a bonus – Nike athlete Logan “Logistx” Edra pointed out a sweet detail you might have noticed: “The upside-down Swoosh is one of the dopest details because switching directions and going upside down is very unique to our craft. It’s such a dope Easter egg feature that only breakers can flex.”
The flipped Swoosh Edra mentioned is embellished within the lateral outsole of the sneaker, so whenever a breaker hits a freeze pose, the logo appears right-side up, adding a unique touch to their power moves.
SNIPES & BREAKING
We’ve always been deeply connected with the breakdancing community. From taking over Times Square during the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop to hosting epic breakdancing battles to partnering with the Pro Breaking Tour across the country, we’ve been there every step of the way. Our support doesn’t stop there—we’ve also worked with Sole Dance here in Philadelphia, helping to create a space for the next generation of dance artists to thrive.
As breakers gear up to showcase their skills on the global stage, we’re proud to support their journey with the Nike JAM collection, and we’re thrilled to announce that two Nike JAM colorways will be available here TODAY.
Don’t miss your chance to step into the future of breaking!
